Manny Kellem and his piano-playing brother Ted,
formed the Milton Kellem Orchestra, which performed in the 1930’s and 1940’s.
He wrote songs under various pseudonyms, including
Jimmy Craig (names of 2 of his 3 sons),
Sophie Hodes (his mother’s name) and
Ted Gary (his brother’s name).

Kellem was also a one-time business partner of
Tony Mamarella and business associate of American Bandstand host and music industry mogul
Dick Clark.
