Jazz drummer and bandleader from Houston, Texas.
Thomas was a session drummer for the Duke and Peacock labels, drumming on recordings by artists including O.V. Wright, Buddy Ace and the Mighty Clouds of Joy during the 1960s.
In the 1970s, he led his band the Lightmen and established the Summer Jazz Workshop.
Thomas passed away in March 2020.
