Spanish Singer. Born May 8, 1966 in Madrid, Spain.
As she was bass-baritone
Antonio Campó (Antonio Sánchez Camporro) daughter, her godfather was opera singer
Alfredo Kraus. She started singing in 1984 with
Cristal Oskuro (although she didn't recorded with them), and soon producer
Tino Azores asked her to replace Vicky Larraz in
Ole Ole. She was in the band from 1986 to 1991, becoming a social phenomenon in Spain and taking her first steps into international market.
In 1993 she started her solo career, which led to selling over 10 million albums worldwide and getting national and international recognition (mainly in South American countries) as a consolidated artist. Due to her popularity and lengthy career, she's considered to be one of the most important Spanish female singers.
Over the decades, few artists have managed to stay at the top of Spanish pop music like Marta Sánchez, both as a solo artist and during her time with the group Olé Olé. The prestigious Los 40 Principales chart has seen several of her hits reach the number one spot, marking different generations with her music.
As a solo artist, Marta Sánchez reached number one with several iconic songs:
- Moja mi corazón – No. 1 from June 14 to 21, 1997.

- Colgando en tus manos (with Carlos Baute) – No. 1 from March 14 to 21, 2009, one of the biggest commercial Spanish-language hits of the 2000s, with 34 weeks on the chart.
Before her solo career, Marta was already shining in Olé Olé, a group with which she also reached multiple number one positions:
- Lili Marlén – No. 1 from March 8 to 15, 1986.
- Bailando sin salir de casa – No. 1 from June 21 to 28, 1986.
- Sola (con un desconocido) – No. 1 from July 25 to August 1, 1987.
