Duke Lake is the pseudonym of Antonello Gabelli, he began his career as a musician in the late 60's, more precisely in 1969 when he replaced Fabrizio Levati as guitarist for the Italian group I Corvi famous for the song Sono Un Ragazzo Di Strada and the cover of Bang Bang .
He left I Corvi in 1971 and joined the musical group Nuova Idea in replacement of the guitarist Marco Zoccheddu.
Between 1983 and 1984 he released and arranged under Memory Group label 3 singles that are the Italo-Disco history: Duke Lake Do You , J.D. Jaber Don't Top Lovin' , Mac Jr. Elephant Song .
In 1983 Ennio Tricomi founded the record labels Cruisin Records and Hiara Dischi and five years later he brought the old I Corvi comrades Angel Ravasini, Antonello Gabelli and Gimmi Ferrari into the recording studio and resumed his live activity.
Antonello passed away in October 2016 and the following year I Corvi did the Lello Tour 2017 in his memory.
