In 2004, Dan Bălan decided to split O-Zone and he returned to his rock roots. He chose the best musicians in his region and moved with them to Los Angeles in 2005.
They were Alex Calancea, Genadij Barbu and Igor Buzurniuc.
Although Dan wrote the compositions prior to the formation of this project, it took two years to get a signature sound and their own captivating style. He asked acclaimed producer Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt, The Black Crowes, Rolling Stones) to produce the record. Jack was extremely enthusiastic about working with Dan. The album was recorded in April/June of 2006 at the renowned Ocean Way Studios in Los Angeles.
Dan never released his album publicly, only in 2005/2006 on MySpace, and some time later a few songs in his Freedom Pt. 1 Album.
In 2007, Dan Balan also decided to sing Tango, one of the Balan album songs, to some kind of private party where there were some people listening to him the other two members.
Dan Balan continued sometimes to do concerts with the other band members in 2007, singing songs from the Balan album like Nobody Belongs to Us, concerts in 2008/2009 singing some O-Zone old songs and the ones from the Balan album, and concerts from 2012 to 2014/2015 circa in other lives, singing some old O-Zone hits, russian new songs & a few Balan album songs, like The 24th Letter, Despre Tine Cant (Part 2) and On My Side.
From what we knew, he decided to do new lives with other artists from 2015 to now, with some girls dancing, new guitarists and musicians.

(In the band there was also another guy, Sandu Gorgos, that was part of the band playing keyboard, but some time later in the end of 2005 went away, but helped Dan Balan in 2007 with the Crazy Loop project, by being the backing vocals in some tracks, and and another one that was in the Balan band, Rijik, that replaced Genadij for some time in 2005.)
