Retired classical tuba player and Professor of Tuba.
He studied at [l305416]. After graduating, he became the principal tuba player for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Former Principal Tuba of The London Symphony Orchestra (1988-6 April 2017). Professor of Tuba at the [l527847] since 1976, and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama since 1992. He was brass coach to the National Youth Orchestra Of Great Britain and member of the Board of Directors of the LSO.
