He graduated from the [l527847] in 1982. He became a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble in 1984, joined the London Symphony Orchestra in 1988 (until 2011) and performed with the Michael Nyman Band in 1996, 1998 and 2002.
He was married to Belinda McFarlane.
