American rock trio centered in Clovies, New Mexico.
The trio consisted of Norman Petty and his wife Vi Petty (piano) and Jack Vaughn (guitar).
The Norman Petty Trio became the Norman Petty Ensemble with the addition of lead vocals by Vi's cousin Georgiana Veit. When Georginia left to pursue marriage and the quiet life, the Ensemble went back to Norman Petty Trio, with Vi taking over singing lead vocals.
