Swedish music group that was active between 1976 and 1986.

Carin Kjellman met Ulf Gruvberg on a folkfestival in 1970. After the festival they began to play together.

It is one of the most influential groups in Swedish folk music during the 1970s. The 1970s folk music wave concentrated on fiddle music, but Folk och Rackare performed folk songs and medieval ballads, with musical framing mainly from the British folk rock scene and the Swedish folk music scene.

1974 they released the LP Med Rötter I Medeltiden as the group Carin & Ulf. When they later went to Oslo they met Jørn Jensen who had played in the folk-band Folque.
They decided to merge and create the group Folk & Rackare. One year later, Jørns friend Trond Villa joined in. Folk & Rackare was most often called a Swedish band; despite having two members from Norway.
