Vargo is a project of producer Ansgar Üffink, who founded the project in the year 2000. From 2001-2014 Stephanie Hundertmark was the singer of Vargo. She returned for two live-shows in August 2020 in Kellenhusen (Germany) and December 2022 in Hamburg (Germany) and for some special appearences. In 2022 Vargo started to work with new singers - one of them is Debby Smith.

Vargo can be experienced live with Band or DJ Set. On festivals, events or planetariums.

After the great success of 'Get Back to Serenity' in 2001, which was included in countless compilations, they were able to produce their first album 'Beauty'.
For more than 20 years now, VARGO has been one of the international most successful and influential representatives of the Vocal Chill Out genre.
His repertoire reaches from downbeat, trip hop and ambient pop to deep and latin house. His tracks are part of almost all internationally well-known compilations. Among them multiple Café del Mar (also ‘Very Best Of…’), Buddha Bar, Space Night, Bar Lounge Classics and countless others all around the world.

Beside the artist albums of Vargo, Ansgar established two more compilation series: Vargo Lounge and Lauschkost on his own record labels Ambient Domain and ÜberRaum Klangdimensionen. Most releases reached the top positions of the iTunes electronic charts in Germany. His radio show The Vargo Lounge Sessions is broadcasted successfully on several stations. Vargo’s mission is part of every project: to bring inner peace, serenity and joy of life through the music. To remember people believing in themselves and to support each other. Life is a precious and exciting journey full of magic and there is only one direction: forward.

So in 2018, Vargo established also a more danceable and rhythmic sound with progressive house, tribal and psychedelic elements under his label together with Chris Zippel: Kayoon Records. In 2022 he went back to his chill sounds under his new label Tribalution.

His brand-new project in around 2019 should have been the VARGO WARRIORS, but it was cancelled before it began.
