Blues and jazz musician, born February 1890 in Louisville, Kentucky, died July 6, 1977 in the same city, active in Chicago in the 1920s, W.E. Buddy Burton played drums, washboard, piano, celeste, kazoo and also sang. He played with Jelly Roll Morton, Jimmy Blythe and Irene Sanders to name a few. He first recorded under his own name in 1928.
