Olga Vladimirovna Zarubina (born August 29, 1958, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian pop singer and actress. At school she participated in all musical competitions and performances. During her student years, Olga worked in the variety group “Post Stagecoach”. At one of the concerts she was noticed by David Tukhmanov and soon wrote for her song “It should not be so”, which Olga performed in a duet with Mikhail Boyarsky on “Голубом огоньке” on January 1, 1979. This song immediately became a hit. Later on Olga Zarubina was a soloist of VIA “Music”, and in the late 80's - a soloist of Moskoncert. Another unchanged hit was her song “На теплоходе музыка играет”, which is still relevant and pleases people. Olga Zarubina repeatedly participated in the programs “Шире круг” and “Утренняя почта”.
In the early 90's Olga left with her family for the USA and left showbusiness for a while, devoting herself entirely to her family. After a 15-year absence from Russia, Olga was invited to the TV show “You-Superstar” (NTV, 2007), after which she stayed in Russia and resumed her concert activities.
