Kostas Virvos was a Greek lyricist mainly, composer, and author. Born March 29, 1926 in Trikala, Greece - Died August 6, 2015 in Paleo Faliro, Piraeus, Greece.
He was one of the most important Greek lyricists. He wrote more than 2.000 songs of rebetiko, laïkó, éntekhno, & folk (dimotikó) styles with social and political, direct or indirect, content. In 1964, he was exclusively contracted by [l271823]
In 1992, he was honored by the mayor of Trikala, by giving him the city's Gold Medal. At the same time, the street, where his father's house was located, was renamed after him.
