Member of the Edinburgh String Quartet, English Chamber Orchestra, was an associated member of the London Symphony Orchestra (1969-1972) and played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London for 32 years.
Son of the violist Keith Cummings, and brother of the cellist Douglas Cummings & the violinist Diana Cummings.
