American lyricist and theatre director.
Born in New York City, New York 17 January 1954 Died in New York City, New York 30 November 1984 (age of 30). Son of composer and film producer Richard Adler.
Best known as the lyricist for the musical Jean Seberg, collaborating with composer Marvin Hamlisch. He began his career in New York City writing and directing off-Broadway productions. He collaborated again later with Hamlisch for Shirley MacLaine's revue Shirley MacLaine on Broadway.
