Steve Dobrogosz is an American composer and pianist, born 28 January 1956 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA. He grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. His vast work is spread over several genres: jazz, pop and classical. He’s also written several popular works for a choir, among them the 1992 popular ’Mass’, which has been performed in 40+ countries.
Since 1978 he is residing in Stockholm, Sweden, where he made several albums with Swedish jazz singer
Berit Andersson during the 80s. He is married to Swedish flautist
Katarina Fritzén, and they have a son, the jazz pianist
Jonathan Fritzen.
