Brick

Swedish hardcore/rock band from Umeå/Stockholm, formed in 1993.

Brick was formed in 1993 by Nándor Hegedus (vocals), Lynard Olsson (bass), Jejo Perković (drums) and Patrik Instedt (guitar). The group's debut album was Suomi, which was released in 1996 on Dolores Recordings. The album received good reviews and was considered a trendsetter in the Swedish indie scene. Comparisons were drawn to bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Fugazi and Dead Kennedys.

In 1997, Brick's second studio album, Volvoland, was released. The album was produced by Bob Weston from Shellac. Volvoland was followed by the EP Smack (1998). After the album, Hegedus chose to leave the group and as a result, Instedt took over the vocals. In 1999, the single Pistol was released, followed by the group's third and final studio album, Automan, released on the record label A West Side Fabrication in 2001.
