American jazz drummer.
Born 16 February 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Died on January 27, 2017 at age 86.
He started tap dancing at the age of five and trumpet and drums at the age of thirteen. He went to the University of Indiana and played there with Max Hartstein and Al Plank. He left IU in 1953 to go on the road with Max and Al.
