In the gatefold sleeve, the uncredited German sleeve-note is printed with English and French translations, and a reproduction of the symphony's final eight bars from Bruckner's holograph: 'Fertigstellung des Finale am 16. August im Stadtpfarrhof zu Steyr: „Halleluja!“ On the back there is a brief biography of the conductor in German, English and French.
The copyright information gives TELDEC Schallplatten GmbH's contact address, Heussweg 25, 2000 Hamburg 20 (Western Germany). In the copy to hand, distribution information is on a label affixed to the sleeve post-production.
On the front of the sleeve the work's title appears in English alone, as Bruckner Symphony No. 8 . First Version. On the back, the title of the whole work and titles/tempo markings for individual movements are exactly as given in the Tracklist above; the composer's dates (1824-1896) are also supplied. Each label gives the composer's name and dates, the work's title in German alone [Symphonie Nr. 8 c-Moll (Erstfassung.1887)], and the title/tempo marking for the movement on the side labelled.
The DMM logo appears on both front and back (Direct Metal DMM Mastering within a double circle containing the words TELDEC Technology - TELDEC Quality). The LP labels feature the words TELDEC Digital, and once again the legend Direct Metal DMM Mastering, here as TELDEC ® trademark.
