Starting around 1996, Time-Life repackaged many of the [l734176] series releases for the [l463191] series. The [l463191] releases included updated artwork and packaging, but the used same track listings, masterings, and (usually) the same matrix number on the disc.

Time-Life released this disc as Rhythm & Blues 1965 (RHD-07) in the [l734176] series and Solid Gold Soul 1965 (R838-12) in the [l463191] series. The two CD releases are digitally identical.
