Yiddishbbuk was commissioned by the Tanglewood Music Center and the Fromm Music Foundation. It was written for and premiered by the St Lawrence String Quartet at the 1992 Tanglewood Festival of Contemporary Music.
The Dreams And Prayers Of Isaac The Blind was co-commissioned by the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the University Musical Society at the University of Michigan, and the Lied Center at the University of Kansas. Dreams and Prayers was premiered in August 1994 by Gloria Feidman and the Cleveland Quartet at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival; it is dedicated to Silvia.
Lullaby and Doina was commissioned and premiered by the Boston Symphony Chamber Players (April 2001). Lullaby and Doina is dedicated to Tony Fogg and the BSCP.
Last Round was commissioned by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group with financial assistance from West Midlands Arts and the following Sound Investors through BCMG's Sound Investment scheme: (list of 20 names omitted)
