Liner notes state:
The Greater Philadelphia Music Co-operative (GPMC™) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the original works of lesser known, local musicians and musical groups. Our goal is to both record local artists and produce a semi-annual aggregate compilation containing their works. We hope that through our continual effort the talents and musical composition of Philadelphians will not only be documented for posterity but bring them some present day notoriety.
