Hello -
Around five years ago I thought my destiny lay in acoustic music. Soft, sensitive songs of hurt and happiness. As fate would have it, I've ended up in a band that, for the most part, plays really un-acoustic music. And as much as I love a wall of noise, as much as I love having my voice supported and covered by huge amps and drums, I still really love the intimacy of a voice and a guitar alone. Or just a voice. There's no hiding.
I recorded this in a day at my friend Jake's. Given the time and resources, there's plenty of things I'd go back and fix, but it has a certain charm this way. Like a face only a, well, mother could love. This tape is first and foremost for her. I hope she loves it, and I hope you do too. Thanks for reading, let alone listening.
