A box set of 50 CDs. Comes in five boxes with 10 CDs in each. Each CD comes inside it's own individual cardboard sleeve.

The Ultimate Edition compiles the three previous box sets by Klaus Schulze; Silver Edition from 1993 (10 CDs), Historic Edition from 1995 (10 CDs) and Jubilee Edition from 1997 (25 CDs) - all of which contained previously unreleased recordings. This set also contains material that wasn't available on any of these box sets.

Not entirely chronologically arranged, CD 1-10 in this box are the Silver Edition CDs, CD 11-20 are the Historic Edition CDs, CD 21-38 are CD 1-18 in Jubilee Edition, whereas Jubilee Edition's CD 20, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are CD no. 39, 43, 44, 40 and 45 here, respectively. The material on Jubilee Edition's CD 19 and 21 is included on CDs 42 and 41, respectively.

The five boxes in this set were sold both separately and as a whole set, and they have different cat. no.'s: Série Poème 2000-1-10, 2000-11-20, etc. However, this box is still considered as one release, not five.
