Background
Photek aka Rupert Parkes is without doubt the most exciting and
original drum & bass artist to emerge in the last 2 years. From his early
days on his own Photek label and Certificate 18 as studio Pressure he
has pioneered the more thoughtful jazz influenced jungle made
popular by LTJ Bukem, goldie and others. Indeed he has recorded for
both Good Lookin' and Metalheads respectively.
Before he signed a major 5 album deal with Virgin this year he
recorded this unique and exclusive EP for OP-ART.
Sales Points
1. This is the first release of the eagerly awaited relaunch of ART.
2. The Drum & Bass version of 'T'Raenon' on limited dub-plate to Fabio,
Bukem, Peshay and others who have made it a regular feature at
Speed and Metalheadz over the last 6 months.
3. Paul Thomas and Fabio have given it extensive airplay on Kiss FM.
4. The EP features Photek's first ever techno tracks on vinyl on side 2, so
both jungle and techno fans alike will be interested.
