(Dweezil Zappa Self-released)

This is a subscription-only album. A curated collection of tracks that may be rough around the edges, but contain a certain level of rock &roll exuberance. A mix of free downloads, fully accessible streaming, and some a la carte purchase selections. New songs will be added monthly!

1 I Want To Ta Ta You Babe is a Johnny Guitar Watson song. My dad was friends with Johnny and was also inspired by his musicianship. I think we only played this song 4-5 times while touring in Europe in 2016.

Mikki Hommel sings lead vocals.

2 A rough around the edges, rocking teenage combo rendition of Apostrophe(') from Europe 2016.

3 The Black Page #1 & 2 FAST - This rendition was performed in 2019 in Denver Colorado. It includes a special percussion instrument called the Marvin. You can hear it distorting and clanging around during The Black Page #1. After that we played Black Page #2 really fast!

4 Zoot Allures W&A
F.O.H. mix - Eran Ben Zur
Dweezil Zappa - Lead Guitar
Adam Minkoff - Rhythm Guitar
Scheila Gonzales - Keys
Kurt Morgan - Bass
Ryan Brown - Drums
Chris Norton - Keys

5 Epic Version of Montana performed on 11-24-2019 in Gothenburg Sweden. The Norwegian Wind Ensemble makes a guest appearance as well!

6 Florentine Pogen premiere arrangement from 1974. This is the first arrangement my dad ever did of 'Flo Po' and I love the pounding energy it exudes. During the guitar solo on this particular performance, you can almost hear an inner dialogue in my mind, saying something like, Play something like your dad, now do your own thing, now have some fun and say hi to Ed.

You'll know it when you hear it! FLO PO EVH, is my mini tribute today to my friend Edward Van Halen.

7 Directly From My Heart To You

The track appeared on the 'Weasels Ripped My Flesh' album and featured Don Sugarcane Harris on electric violin. I was trying to create a balance between a guitar sound and an electric violin sound on this live version from 2018. I have some versions where I use the guitar sound only. I may find one and upload that for comparison.

8 Ship Arriving Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch is one of my dad's most challenging songs to perform. The original release from the album of the same name included multiple edits from different performances and even different bands, in order to create the version my dad thought, was acceptable for release. It's quite a strange combination of elements and features 2 guitars solos. The instrumental interludes are at times quite wicked, especially on guitar and keyboards.

The version I've released is from a live performance outside Chicago in 2018. I've done my best to recreate the dynaflanger guitar tones that were heard on the original version. Also, during my first solo, my guitar rig goes rogue and you can hear the delay buffer freak out. Instead of stopping the performance I try to play with it and do a call and response. You will hear a sort of degraded robot sound that appears randomly. I try to react to it musically after each oddball utterance. It's a unique moment in time that could never happen again.

There's also an absolutely evil fuzz tone on the second solo. I really enjoyed playing this song on tour and there were quite a few epic musical moments that happened every time we played it.

I want to mix a version in ATMOS one day.
