Notes via Bandcamp:

Here's a nice fresh remaster of the set we recorded for our first independently released 12 inch vinyl live album. We pressed 500 copies and sold them while touring over the next year. They were all numbered and put together by hand in hotel rooms along the way. We wanted to give it an old bootleg look, so photocopied cover art was cut and glued to each copy with the band name wrote by hand with a big black marker. Every copy a little different.

The concert theme was to celebrate the release of our Vague Premonition album, and it was recorded at Au Deuxieme in Moncton. A nice sounding little room with about 100 friends in attendance. It was recorded to my cassette 4track with a vocal feed going to one track, drum mix feed to another, and the guitar and bass amps miked into the other two tracks. It was mixed down to stereo through an analog compressor with a bit of reverb added to the vocal in parts. Drums and vocal center and guitar/bass panned hard.

We weren't really happy with the sound of the vinyl pressing when we got the copies, it's a little more distorted than the master tapes but not too bad. I still have those stereo tape masters of the whole concert though, so i've remastered this digital version directly from those. We had to cut four songs out of the original set-list for the vinyl due to length, but i've added them back to their place in the sequence for this version.

The four cut songs include the actual opening song of the set, SLEEP EXPERIMENT #1, FLUIDMONOGLEESTRAN, a slightly sloppy ANALYSIS 1313, and the final song of set VAGUE PREMONITION which got cut off on the 4track tape while recording the show. Though it would have been nicer having the full song recorded, i've still included it here because the timing of when it cuts is pretty neat. It's in the 3rd verse right as i say the words Vague Premonition. Ha. More neat Elevator magic.

Thanks for listening and supporting all these old recordings.
