guitar Bob Pistoor keyboards Edward Ka-Spel keyboards The Silverman saxophone Niels van Hoorn This plain white CDr comes in a handmade cardbox sleeve with colour-printed stickers on front and reverse. It contains a loose sheet insert explaining the making-of this work. The cardbox is protected by a plastic jacket with glue-strip.
The inlay card says: Back in 1991, the practise was to take a musical idea, a chord sequence, a loop or sometimes just a sound and explore it's potential. Much of the Maria Dimension album was borne out of this process. The Pink Dots was a 4-piece following the departure of sound engineer Hans Meyer early in the recordings, and each member built his own rig in the four corners of Niels' barn while guitarist bob Pistoor's cassette recorder sat centre stage with the red button always pressed down. This CDR release captures the secrets of one of those cassettes. Of course there has been sound enhancement and serious editing - listening to it should be enjoyable not merely educational. It is dedicated to Bob whose guitar playing still brings tears to our eyes and who passes away much to soon.
Remainder of the insert lists the credits as given below and track info as The Maria Sessions Parts 1-4
