The Lens was a precursor to British progrock band IQ. All of these tracks were written between 1977 - 1981, after which band split up and Michael Holmes and Martin Orford moved on to form IQ. This CD features all new recordings of this early material, many of which (tracks 1-4 and 7) appeared on their 1979 demo cassette No TV Tonite.
