The Legendary Pink Dots Any Day Now Secrets The year 1987 was a crossroads. With growing interest in the band, decisions about day-jobs had to be made. Continental Europe beckoned like a siren in the mist, while a duality in the band's musical direction had emerged during the recordings for 'Island of Jewels'. Despite this life-changing backdrop, weekend recording sessions continued - stopped only for cups of tea and the obligatory take-away curry. By the end of the year, in a great leap of faith, the band had moved to Amsterdam, vowing to put musical differences aside in order to make a great record - which is what they did. Here then are highlights of those last recordings on British soil:
