Svantes Viser is published as a book by Benny Andersen at Borgens Forlag (Borgens Publishing). Povl Dissing had performed Brev Fra Dig (track B3) in a radio broadcast in the late 60's. On this background Benny Andersen invited Povl to record the ballads just prior to releasing the book. They agreed, that Povl didn't act being Svante, - instead just performed Svante's posthumous works.
