from page 226:
The April 29, 1985 broadcast of Parsifal was recorded in the radio booth at the Metropolitan Opera House by Audio Director Jay David Saks, with Bill King as Technical Supervisor. The performance was recorded on 7.5-ips stereophonic magnetic tape, using two machines to permit overlaps at reel ends... The digital master for this MET Historic Broadcast Recording was produced at Seth B., Winner Sound Studios Inc, where the tapes were checked and corrected for proper playback speed, frequency response, and azimuth alignment, then played on an Otari 505-B III tape recorder and converted to a digital signal, using a Lucid A/D converter at a sampling rate of 96 KHz, with a word length of 24 bits.
