The soundtrack sessions for the movie Jailhouse Rock took place in April-May 1957 at Radio Recorders, Hollywood. Treat Me Nice was re-recorded for the single release on September 5.

This albums was made to resemble a vintage 1950's RCA album. It therefore carries the (fictitious) RCA Victor cat-no LSP 6240. The vinyl records contain labels which are styled like in the 50s (with dog on top).
