Technical note.
The title Who Do You Love performed with Howard Godfrey's Waldorfians, illustrates how well Bowlly could inject life into what the label merely indicated as a 'vocal refrain' when first released. After the vocal, the band begins to drag very badly on the original recording. In order to partly overcome this deficiency of tempo, during transfer from the original master the record was gradually speeded up. In spite of this, a deterioration can be perceived.
On Every Day's A Lucky Day, the vocal was found to be rather short. It has been reprised and interpolated between a repeat of the xylophone solo and band chorus, thus increasing the performance timing on this LP transfer.
