Ms. Bliss was raised in a musically inclined family in Southern Oregon, where she cultivated her skills in harmony alongside her sister while accompanying her father's guitar and vocals. She furthered her musical education by playing the clarinet and saxophone in school bands and took the initiative to form a band for a special performance at her high school. It was during this time that she developed her phrasing abilities and honed her auditory skills for pitch and vocal performance. Ms. Bliss's passion for performing blossomed, leading to the commencement of her professional music career in Los Angeles in the late 1980s, following her departure from the Pacific Northwest.
