As per usual, the music on this recording was done predominantly live to analog tape. However, this being our second studio LP, we thought we would experiment a little, overdubbing additional instruments on some songs. Also, as per usual, all guitar solos were recorded live with the exception of Larger Than Life. All vocals were overdubbed except John The Revelator and Raven Black Night which were recorded live.

This album is dedicated to Luther Allison, Jeff Buckley, Michael Hedges, and Tony Williams, who all left us too soon. Their presence is reflected in the music on this recording.
