This is the soundtrack of the musical theatre play Kees de Jongen by Dutch actor Frank Groothof and De Kift.
The play is based on the Dutch novel (Theo Thijssen, 1923) with the same title.
De Kift wrote the music and also perform it live during the theatre play.
Besides that they also act in the play itself.

The CD is packed in the play's program, which looks like the school notebook
of Kees Bakels, the 12 year old schoolboy and title person in the novel.
The notebook contains information, some lyrics and childrens drawings.
