The first run of discs were made by the UK PDO plant in Blackburn, which was subsequently found to have been using a lacquer which was susceptible to attack from the sulphur fumes emitted by the printing used on CD booklets. This was the origin of so-called CD rot - the lacquer is degraded, exposing the aluminium layer on the CD to oxygen from the atmosphere, which in turn causes the aluminium to oxidise - over time, this renders the discs unplayable.
Reissued in 1997.Later reissued as a Front Row Club release(FRC-005)
