This album is the result of five years of collecting passages and ideas, then further culling, manipulating, deleting, revising and re-imagining these ideas. Worms in the Keys was recorded, written and assembled piece by piece by musicians all over the globe. Most of those involved have never met each other and in many cases recorded their parts without hearing each other's contributions.
The music and themes presented here were heavily influenced by the work of Anthony Bourdain, Bret Easton Ellis, Cormac McCarthy, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
