Everything has its season...

and we can all remember the seasons: when the vogue was to be militant; when to be black was more fashionable than it was to be Negro; and when the tide of integrationism gave way to the new black rhetoric. But while many of these trends have come to pass and others have faded away, Truth is perennial, and now is its time.

Having addressed millions in the traditional objectivity that befits a good journalist. the Director of News & Public Affairs at WBLS, New York--David Lampel--has now come before the recording microphone as an editorialist with some timely and imaginative commentaries on an often frivolously treated, but no less serious topic: the black-American status. In fact, this subject could not have been undertaken by a more articulate and competent artist than David Lampel: the recipient of the 1973 Malcolm X Black Unity Award for outstanding achievement in community service; the recipient of the '73 Major Armstrong Award for excellence in FM musical documentary form; and the Professional Black Announcers' selected 1972 Radio Newsman of the Year.

Listen, and you will know how proud we at WBLS-WLIB feel, being associated with David Lampel and this extraordinary production.

Truth, your time is here.
