Together, you have a decent representation of my fixation with the mutation of words and music.
Just in case you don't know, nothing was pre-recorded or overdubbed later. All sounds were created live on stage by using a technique called live phrase sampling. Basically, I step on a button, play or sing a phrase, step on the button again and it repeats what I just played or sang. Then I can layer a bass line or a drumbeat or a birdcall or whatever. It's much easier done than said so please come and see for yourself.
Stage Left was recorded at Cal Poly Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA on March, 19, 2003 except for track 7, Dance of the Freek, which was recorded at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA on March 11, 2003.
