Still Samplin' is Matty Fresh's 2nd solo instrumental album. Following up on the successful FRE$HEEP collaboration CD/7 project with DJ Sheep from 2012, which featured cameo appearances from Roc Marciano, J-Zone and more; mentions on esteemed blogs such as Nahright, Unkut, Egotrip, HipHopSite and countless others; as well as receiving coverage in the legendary XXL magazine. Matty Fresh decided it was time to branch out again on the solo tip to pick out 18 of his freshest beats he's crafted over the past few years, to showcase on this sophomore effort. Matty's accolades include forthcoming tracks with DJ Davito, The Artifacts, and more. He received the Ozhiphop award for best Instrumental album for his debut album The Ginza Crime Library, as well as garnering a fan-base in his soon to be home of Japan. Also in the pipeline is an album with fallen soldier, and Australian hip-hop stalemate MC Hunter produced in full by Matty Fresh. Still Samplin' features one guest, and that is the legendary DJ Revolution (World Famous Wake Up Show) who dropped some tasty cuts on the first track on the album whilst he was staying at the Bulletproof Crates lab. This track, and the interlude at the start of the album from Geto Boys member Scarface, set the pace for the rest of the album; jam packed with samples, loops and varied tempos and styles of hip-hop beats. A definite mature growth can be seen on this album from any work Matty has released before. This is the perfect album to bump in your car for the summer and a great accompaniment piece to the FRE$HEEP album or The Ginza Crime Library.
