Disc 1: Natty Locks Dub Originaly released in 1974, rhythm tracks included contributions from Tony Brevett, Geoffrey & Mikey Chung (whose 'The Love We All Need Today' by The IQ's was tranformed into 'Macka Bee'). Recorded at Lee Perry's Black Ark and Joe Gibbs Studio, voiced and remixed at Black Ark and King Tubby's studio, overdubbed (horn parts) at Berry Street Studios.
Disc 2: King Tubby Meets The Upsetter At The Grass Roots Of Dub Originally released in 1975, the rhythms were built at Joe Gibbs Studio and Black Ark, mixed at King Tubby's or Black Ark. The rhythms were nearly all original except 'Wood Roots' originally sung by The Temptations (previously versionned in reggae by Slim Smith, The Techniques, Derrick Harriot and Augustus Pablo).
