“Say Hello to the President” is the fourth and most mature album of the band and comes four years after to “Mathilda”, his predecessor well reviewed by many magazines and websites of the scene.
The album has been recorded at Elfo Recording Studio(Italy) by Alberto Callegari and has been mixed and mastered by Mathias Schneeberger(who worked with Mondo Generator, Fatso Jetson, Sunn o)), Desert Sessions, Earthlings?, Goatsnake, Masters of Reality, Brant Bjork, Twilight Singers, Mark Lanegan and many more), at Donner & Blitzen Studios in Los Angeles.
The third track of the album “Sand in the Teeth” has Mario Lalli (Fatso Jetson/Yawning Man) on words/volcals/guitars and is the perfect blend to the mucic of the bands.
The collaboration with Mario was born in 2010 when Oak's Mary were chosen to support the whole European tour of the desert rock pioneers “Fatso Jetson” and the indie label “Third Conspiracy” produced the split 7 Fatso Jetson / Oak 's Mary in which there is the track Wait which can also be found in Say Hello to the President.
The album contains 13 tracks of pure and healthy Rock'n Roll with an incredible groove of bass & drums and high volume vintage guitars contaminated by the blues and the 70's rock influences such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Stooges, Deep Purple, Hendrix, Kraftwerk without losing more 'modern as Nirvana, QOTSA, Loop, Earthlings?, the Heads.
The album is released by “Desert Fox Records” and will be 'distributed in USA by Cobraside Distribution.
The artwork of the album is curated by the italian artist Silvia Molinari and Marco Sarracino.
The band was born in 2001 by the divine Will of the Holy Mary Herself, hence the names Oak and Mary. In these years Oak's Mary have shared the stage with bands like Dozer, Fatso Jetson, Eagles of Death Metal, the Spores, Baby Woodrose, Los Natas, Colour Haze, Brant Bjork & the Bros.
