Hiroko, Heathcliff, Lesson 2, Stupid As A Rose II and Power were originally produced for Miasma - A Butoh Opera, performed December 2, 1992 at The Margaret Greenham Theatre of The Banff Centre, Canada.
Lession 2 is based on a 15th century prologue to La Roman de la Rose, vox-loop: Joseph Schmidt . Stupid As A Rose draws on a Victorian British song, It's The Same The Whole World Over. Heathcliff is inspired by Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights.
