Deep Green was a media event featuring ambient, dub and transglobal/world music, originating from the renowned Organic Tea Garden in The Green Futures Field at the Glastonbury Festival, The Kingston Green Fair and the Big Green Gathering.

This CD was digitally mixed and edited at Dat Studios by Solar Quest using only the sun as a power source. The original sessions for the five Solar Quest tracks (previously unreleased) on this CD were also recorded using solar power.

Deep Green worked closely with the visionary American painter Alex Grey and the jacket from this CD features a detail from his celebrated painting ‘Praying’, which is also the cover of Grey's acclaimed book ‘Sacred Mirrors’.

The release launch of the Deep Green CD in Japan included the first exhibition of Grey's work there, in a central Tokyo gallery, accompanied by a week's installation of music from the Deep Green CD and a live performance by Solar Quest, powered, of course, by the sun, the first performance of this kind ever produced in Japan.

Track 5 is listed incorrectly as Part 1.
