This was the first release on Hawaiian Village Records. Billboard reported (1956-10-27): First Apaka release is a Christmas package and is being sold by Kaiser as a Christmas gift item to industrial firms in Hawaii. Orders thus far are reported to total in excess of 25,000 EPs.
