Digitally remastered at MCA Music Media Studios, North Hollywood, CA. Original Duke Records masters and disc transfers used except 1-01 and 1-05 courtesy Ace Records, U.K. and 1-02 transferred from original Duke 78 rpm. Track 1-10 previously unreleased.

Includes 24-page booklet with essay, photos, and track-by-track recording notes.

Possible trumpeter Melvin Jackson on tracks 2-14, 2-15, and 2-17 erroneously named Melvin Scott in booklet.
