Moving Shadow 10 years, 1,000 Tunes

00.1 is a specially created, 10th year anniversary release, put together to mark a decade of Moving Shadow. This double CD, containing an 80 minute mix of some of Moving Shadow's most celebrated releases plus a CD ROM dedicated to the label's history, music, artists and design, is the fifth in the label's showcase series, and follows on from the '99.1' and '99.2' releases of last year.

Disc One is an 80 minute mix of some of Moving Shadow's most celebrated releases. Rob Playford spent many hours listening to the label's previous releases in order to pick just thirty or so to reflect the various sounds and styles that are part of Moving Shadow, not an easy task! Using three tracks from each year (roughly) Rob has managed to spin a seamless tale of the last decade's breakbeat and drum and bass history.

Disc Two is a CD-ROM, compatible with both MAC's and PC's. It features a comprehensive history of the label, from the very first release right through to the present date, as well as interviews with some of the labels main artists, including amongst others the E-Z Rollers and Dom & Roland. Also included on the CD-ROM is a fully searchable database of Moving Shadow's entire back catalogue, (one for the collectors), a sleeve artwork section, the Moving Shadow merchandise range and much, much more.
