Box Set with Tri-Fold Insert.
Recorded at Van Gelder Studios, March 1973.

The number 1213 is not a sequential number in the Kudu catalog. It is a combination of the catalog numbers assigned to the two albums that also were released separately: [m58720] (KU 12) and [m230698] (KU 13).

The album is packaged and labeled as a Stereo release; but the SQ in the runout etchings indicate that the disc was mastered as a SQ Quadraphonic recording, as on Soul Box. Since a Quadraphonic record could be played on a regular stereo system, it could be marketed and labeled as a Stereo disc, particularly if demand for the Quadraphonic format turned out to be less than anticipated.

Label variation: STEREO over catalog number on labels.

The diameter of the pressing ring (38mm) is characteristic of a Capitol Records pressing, but there are no characteristic etchings in the runouts to identify which plant might have been used for the pressing.

All Runout data is etched, except VAN GELDER is stamped.
